FIAR: J & P

Art and Math Day

Played 'shadow chasers' - Looked at all the pictures in the book and picked out the ones with shadows and tried to best figure out where the light source was coming from.

Vanishing point - talked about why the road on pg 16 looks big in the front but tiny in the back of the drawing. Pointed out examples around the room of how things look much smaller than they really are from far away.

Distance - talked about how many feet make up certain things, and then how many feet were in a mile. How would we figure out how many feet are in 3 miles, etc.

Ordinal numbers - wrote out the alphabet and had J & P tell me what spot certain letters were in. First, tenth, twenty-third, etc.
