Happy Birthday Suzie and Alex!
FIAR: J & P
Math and Science day
Counting - counted total number of balls in story, Giovannis in story, clubs in story and vegetables/fruits in the story.
Grouping & Pre-multiplication - Got out blocks and did 7 groups of 3 - J counted to 21 and I told him that sometime next year we would be doing a new thing called multiplication or times. We did lots of different problems with the blocks, 6x3, 7x6, etc... Also told him how, just like multiplication, you can reverse the problem, and while the groups will change, the answer will be the same. He LOVEd this lesson, wanted to keep doing it even after I was ready to stop =)
Mixtures - Explained how putting different things together physically, as long as they don't change chemically, is called a mixture. Asked J to come up with examples - he came up with soup! Nice job, J
Aging - talked about how people's senses can break down as they get older - used the example of Isaac in the bible when he is tricked by Jacob and Rachel because Isaac had gone blind in old age. But told him as you get older, you may lose your physical senses, you gain wisdom and knowledge. Discussed how you help and respect the elderly.

Told him sound repeatedly (throughout lesson, no lie, probably 50-60 times) but he could not grasp it. Felt like he wasn't trying! Did not complete lesson 27. Told him if he is not going to work, I will not work either. Trying again tomorrow.
