FIAR: J & P

Read The Storm in the Night by Mary Stolz

J & P liked it, didn't love it. I thought it was kinda long and boring, but nice pictures =)

Social Studies Day

Relationships - Grandfather/grandchild relationship - Discussed how we can tell that Thomas and his grandfather are close. Talked about relationships with our own grandparents.

I personally think that FIAR is a great curriculum, but I do with they would tone down on the grandparent stories... I feel like it's more than half the stories and it's only December... enough already!

Emotions - Fear - Talked about fears and what might create them and how they can be overcome. But also that it's ok to be afraid sometimes. Just remember to put your trust in God.

Math: J

SSM Workbook - pgs 88-89 - greater than, less than, adding, tally, adding columns with 3 numbers, number word recognition.

Coloring: J

Reading: P

Completed lesson 27of 100EL. Did SOOOOOOO much better today! P told me that J had been helping him remember the 'u' sound. Awwwwwwwwww.
