Math - counting certain things in the book and grouping them in pairs, etc
Science - Talked about the five senses and how the author made all the sights, sounds, smells and feelings so vivid in this book. Also discussed the seasons, which months are in which seasons and made a list of the characteristics of each season.
Brain Quest Reading: J
Roy G. Biv story - discussed colors of the rainbow and answered questions about them. Did pretty well, not great.
Brain Quest General: J
pgs 15-17 - rhyming; days of the week; sentence structure; geography; adding; putting things in ABC order; directions; relationships; animal kingdom
Math: J
Money - grouped coins together and figured out totals. Also made totals with large number of coins and had J figure out how to make the same amount with less coins (ex: 1 quarter, 1 nickel, 2 pennies instead of 3 dimes, 7 pennies)
Calendar: J
Reviewed months of the year - remembered them all in order!
