FIAR: J & P
Language - similes and metaphors - gave definition of both and talked about how they are used in a story. Then went back through Grandfather's Journey and found all of them and identified which was which and why, and also how it helped that they were used.
Math - Talked about the amount of time Grandfather was out on the boat - 3 weeks. How many days? Used blocks to figure out how many days in 2 weeks, 3 weeks and J figured answer for 4 weeks without blocks. Nice!
Writing: J
Wrote out 4 spelling words for week. Getting MUCH faster and neater!
Coloring: J
Continued with his November page. His skill with coloring is definitely improving with time, not so messy and is using better color choices. Just a little more to go

SSM Workbook - pgs 68-69 - subtracting larger numbers; working with bar graphs
BrainQuest: J
pgs 28-30 - pluralization; subtraction; vegetable trivia (?); ABC order; animal geography; other weird random stuff

Chs 8-10 of LPP
Reading: P
Completed lesson 17 of 100EL - had major trouble sounding out words. Was getting i and e sounds mixed up. We got through it but may repeat the lesson tomorrow.
