Onomatopoeia - A word that sounds the same as it's action. Used example of the word pop. Asked J & P to come up with some more and P immediately came up with boing. Cute! They also came up with buzz and crash.
Manuscript layout - Making a book appealing looking by putting the words at all different parts of the page. Makes a kids book more fun!
Vocabulary - aura; starch; wilt; dart; turnips; peer or peek; murmur; exquisite; bog
Elements of a good story - Talked about what parts of the story were the setting, conflict, rising action, climax and falling action (which J corrected me and said "denouement!")

SSM Workbook - pgs 76-77 - adding tens and ones; figuring out how many tens and ones are in a certain number; addition; subtraction; measuring; counting by ones; counting by tens; adding and subtracting 2 columns

Wrote out 5 spelling words for week
