Oh well... God is still in control. =)
FIAR: J & P
Math - Talked about architects and construction workers and how they need to have a good knowledge of math to build things or else they won't be safe or good looking. Demonstrated with some blocks.
Geometry - The phrase, "four corners, neat and square" is often repeated in the book. Talked about what makes a square a square and not a rectangle. Went on to identify and give reasoning for: circle, oval, triangle, trapezoid, rhombus, , pentagon, hexagon, octagon, diamond.
Counting - went through different pages of book and counted objects (trees, people, houses) and broke them up into groups or various numbers.
Bible - talked again about flexibility and keeping a good attitude despite changes in life.
Matthew 6:33 "Seek first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added to you".
Philippians 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything..."
Luke 12:7 "Do not fear..."
J had some questions about the Luke passage because it mentions people taking your body. "That's really scary!" he said... I told him God is still in control in those times, and what the passage was saying was that that's ALL someone can take from you, they can never have your soul, and as long as God is the most important thing in your life and you keep Jesus close to your heart and believe the things he says, your soul will go to Heaven, isn't that a great thing?! They both seemed comforted at this =)
