Science - talked about creative thinking and problem solving. The boy was the only one who had the creative idea to leave Mary Anne in the basement. It's good to think of many different ways to solve a problem rather than just one way.
Road engineering - Talking about blasting through hills and mountains. Will point out some spots on our next road trip.
Made a pinwheel to show the power of steam, but the stream from my kettle was not strong enough to power it =(
